Surfside FAQ's

Board Meetings: Normally scheduled for the fourth Monday of each month, 6:00 pm, in the clubhouse

Next Board meeting: Mon., May 21 - meeting wasn't held since City Council meeting ran long

Annual Meeting: October

Neighborhood Watch Meeting: Monday, June 4th - 7 PM - in the clubhouse. All residents are welcome. 

Cost of replacement keys: Pool keys are $10. Pedestrian gate keys are $50

Assessments are made payable to Surfside I Association and mailed directly to the bank:

Monthly Assessments: $495 (as of 1/1/18) due on the 1st, late after the 15th.  Pay online, see link to the right.

Insurance Agent: Steve Reich Insurance, 805-379-5159.  Insurance is for common area elements only, homeowners should carry insurance on their unit.

The Association recommends you employ only appropriately licensed and insured contractors.

If you have an HOA related maintenance issue or emergency, please call the Surfside I HOA HOTLINE at 1-877-600-4940.  You will first hear a short message and then a live person will answer 24/7. If it is an emergency, you should have a return call within 10-15 minutes (or less!) or within 24 hours if it is a non-emergency.  

 Please remember that this number is ONLY for HOA MAINTENANCE issues or emergencies. If this is a security issue, please call 911 for emergencies or Archon Security at 1-800-274-5717 between the hours of 7:30 PM – 4:30 AM for non-emergencies.  During the opposite hours, please call the Port Hueneme Police Dept. non-emergency number at 805-986-6530.

The following architectural standards were approved for the entrance doors and screen doors. These are the only approved styles since wood doors attract termites and steel doors rust:

Entrance doors (white only):

Fiberglass 6-panel door
Fiberglass 4-panel door with half moon design at the top

Screen doors (white only):

Active brand Sante Fe model 6700
Active brand Sante Fe model 6800
Active brand sentry security door model 4900
Larson Savannah (or similar) storm door

ALL DOORS AND SCREEN DOORS MUST BE IN COMPLIANCE BY MARCH 1, 2019. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY THE OFFICE IF YOURS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED PRIOR TO THAT DATE DUE TO BEING IN POOR CONDITION. PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, ALL NEW DOORS AND SCREEN DOORS NEED TO BE APPROVED BY THE OFFICE BY SUBMITTING AN ARCHITECTURAL MODIFICATION REQUEST FORM.

15-DAY NOTICE OF APPROVED VEHICLE RULE:
TO MAKE THE VEHICLE PARKING PASS RULE “ALL INCLUSIVE”, THE FOLLOWING VERBIAGE CHANGE TO THE EXISTING RULE WAS APPROVED:

XV. VEHICLES
Rules & Regulations section XV. Vehicles Pg. 13, Item #1.
1. All vehicles registered to current residents and parked inside the complex must prominently display a Surfside I HOA parking pass, be street legal and operational with current DMV tags and license plates.
